Apterra hires head of portfolio management
Apterra Infrastructure Capital, an affiliate of Apollo Global Management, has hired a managing director of portfolio and credit risk management in New York.
The new hire, Michael Peist, was most recently a senior power & infrastructure financier at Investec.
Officials at Apterra could not immediately be reached.
The move follows the formation of Apterra last year under the leadership of Ralph Cho and Michael Pantelogianis, co-ceos.
In addition to Investec, Peist also previously worked at Natixis, Mizuho Bank, WestLB, and Blackstone portfolio company Onyx Renewable Partners.
Separately, Apterra recently launched a $180 million debt refinancing of Primary Energy, a Midwest thermal power generation company owned by Sustainable Development Capital (SDCL), as first reported by PeakLoad on May 22.
